Question

Anyone know why the notes section won't show up on the page? Because I put two notes and can't seem to find out why they're not showing.--Exodus74 02:11, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

vaths dragon really packs a big hit

Just to say one thing about soloing Vath. I don't want to edit the page without permission =p. Anyway you can run behind Stalagbite at his tail end then atk stalagbite 1st. Only if you run behind stalagbite and attack will Vath not bother you. So once you have stalagbite down just rest then solo Vath! Using that way you can solo Vath anyway you want. i stand right in front of Vath and attack it also work

Order of Attack

One of the interesting and unique aspects of this boss fight is who you attack first - Both monsters attributes are changed in one mouse click, so it is very important that you know what's going on and that you're winning the battle, not them.

If, for your first opponent, you choose Stalagbite (The Dragon), two things happen. 1. Vath's defense is heightened ten-fold, reducing your attacks to a tenth of your original average - Critical hits are also affected. This defense increase will make your battle with Vath seem more like a 10,000 hp battle. 2. Stalagbite's attacks are normalised to around 100.

If, for your first opponent, you choose Vath, two things happen also. 1. Vath's defense is lowered so that you hit around two-thirds of your normal attack. 2. Stalagbite (The Dragon) has extremely powerful attacks - Known to be around 3500 at peak and he will attack at his normal regardless.

It is all down to how many people you have, and of what strength they are. If you have 2-3 people - all fairly low levels - then I would advise you to attack the dragon first. A healer in this situation would be useful as Vath will be pounding you with 100+ hits in the process, but once you have defeated the dragon, relax a bit - maybe even exit and enter the room to heal - as the fight with Vath will be fairly simple and ordinary (Just think of it as if he really did have 10,000 hp). If you have 2-3 people still, yet they are all high levels (Possibly 20+), you could attempt to attack Vath first. He will be easy to defeat but who you really need to watch out for is the dragon - His hits could finish your whole group off in a few seconds. All classes should use any skills they have that reduce damage (On Guard for Warriors) to maximise the time you have to take out Vath. Don't bother trying to kill the dragon after killing Vath, as his hits will still be overpowered. If you have many people (4+) then you can go for Vath first. When you have this many people, it is power in numbers and at least one person should survive for the final blow. If they don't and you have 10- levels in your group then the dragon is the best option.

You should only try to kill Vath first if you are only wanting the drops, not if you are in the storyline. Otherwise, take your time and run through the storyline - It is an interesting one and has a nice cutscene at the end.

Good luck...
