Hall of Fame Official application

I have been on the Aqworldswiki for a while now and I have had my ups and my downs. I have learned from many of my mistakes as we all do. I understand the Aqwwiki rules 100% now and I know what HoF Official's go through. I scrolled by because I would like to be another small portion of help that can keep the Wiki growing. As a clan leader I understand the responsibility that is held and I will try to do my best as a HoF Official. I would like to help out with anything you can give me, any task. I am wondering if I can load an Image into the background of a page (like a texture for example) instead of the normal plain color such as black, like this Clan:The Rising Souls. I wanted to make sure that if I did this it would not break this rule "Your clan page may not break the wiki layout."

Clan infestation. A good thing

Hey Aki,

I was wondering what caused such a huge rise in clans registered on the wiki O.O there's a bunch of em now. I did some server hoping the last two weeks and unfortunately I think about half the new ones are inactive. Oh well.

Just so you know, I left Clan:The Rising Souls, and I think Walker changed it's name (better ask him before you delete it though) so you can take me off the Protection list for that page.

One of my new members, User:iiTz Over asked me to edit his User page and get the basic coding down so he could work on it, reason being he is not much of a computer person (one the the can't hit enter ones). I had him put in test on his user page that he was ok with me editing it but I wanted to check with you before proceeding.

I Resigned Because...

And i submitted my resignation earlier to Al, i resigned from being a Contributor because there are PLENTY of new Contributors that basically post instantly based on any AE Post they see, including the site i used to cover, Artix.com. I just felt i would be needed no more, so naturally, i resigned. Cause as far as i could see it, i would of auto-lost the Rank "Contributor" anyways after 4 weeks of not posting, because i would not have been able to post any new posts on time that weren't already covered earlier by some other Contributor. This is why, i resigned, i didn't want to do it, but the fate of my rank seemed at stake either way, so i just plain ended it out of its misery. :|

If Only....

If only i could. But as a Contributor, all posts done by you must be approved by Al before being published, and he doesn't just want random game pictures or videos from you, he wants what you chose as what you wanted to do when you chose to become a Contributor which is i think only either Design Notes briefs or guides of sorts. I suck at guides, sad to say. And since the Design Notes Brief side is pretty much all clear via the new Contributors, again, this all falls under my last message again what'd occur. Alas, i doubt there be enough room for me anymore. Do not fret, i will still remain as active as i was on the Forums and what not, just will not be in light blue when posting and will be posting on EL no more. But cause i resign doesn't mean we can't still be friends right? Sure i will lose access to the Protected Board and post there no more, but oh well, such is a thing i must pay for resigning as well as losing my ability to post/rank on the LF. And plus, it seemed to me that after a while, Al started disliking some of the posts i was putting up. I attempted putting up a post about, actually one Aerotrax or tax or whatever did about the new account thing on Artix.com, but that was trashed, despite i thought it being quite fine following my same last posts. I think it'd be better for everyone, especially AL, if i just plain resigned. I'm sad to say such words and sorry to, but you gotta do what you gotta do and now i've done what i had to do. It was great working alongside, or seemingly alongside you guys on El, but well, you know how things go right? But still, we can always be friends and keep contact right? That wont be lost upon this will it?:o I hope not, i enjoy having friends!^_^ So yeah, that's pretty much it on the Resignation Topic. ehhh, ehem, yes, back to what I came for. Clan:The Rising Souls is now inactive, member less, and now disbanded. User:Aqwwalker asked me to ask you (bad English I know) to delete it from the wiki. I told him chances are he needs to come and tell you himself, but he wants me to ask anyway. High ranked members have even started making clans of their own. Huh imagen that O.O. And yes, more then just me, User:Wyod for one. The problem is, since Walker quit AQW he has almost completely droped off the grid...and some of his members do not feel comfertable joining another clan with out being removed from the wiki list of the current one.

Re:Reassurance

I believe the rule in question existed once before. Whether I can find it or not is another. I believe there was a situation at one point for the reason these rules came into being. Can't remember the situation either, but either way...

Rule has been reinstated along with another old, deleted rule (which shouldn't have been touched in the first place).

As for support, ofc people aren't going to support my rulings. My rulings are final, and more than once, I have been a scapegoat for other sysops actions. I don't mind it. It's what sets me apart. I don't give into the peer pressure of the community at large. I seek only what is good and needed for the community, not what they want. And the HoF have no rulings over clan law, they're a seperate organisation created for the purpose for fun, not the pruposes of administration. Try to remember that.

Edit - All my actions have the support of Al Gilman. Anything I see as a positive contribution to the wiki's, he see's as a positive contribution, so long as I don't actively abuse my powers for no reason.

Additional edit - And yes, I can pull a rule for the image. A common sense ruling. You're a sysop. As such, you do not have the right to abuse your powers. Incorrect. I agreed with Deathknights train of thought. It was logical, and I couldn't find a reason why those rules shouldn't be. As for one of the rules, you can check the previous page revisions. A sysops ruling is final unless there's a legitimate and logical reason why it shouldn't be. And unless you can provide those...

Restoration

I'm currently making edits. Beyond of that, I'm looking forward about the restoration of our clan page, hopefully A.S.A.P. since we're gonna make a lot of changes in out clan page in the reason that April - vacation - is coming.

Nekdopac

I considered that when I first saw it but only mentioned it to mekoolness when I saw that no warning was made, especially as there weren't advertising. Even if there is a strong chance that the account was purely for gibberish it still seems like a warning should have been made as standard procedure.

Thanks for the reply, We have no real meeting server and because the three founders lie in either Australia, Canada or the US times are a bit mixed up.
